May 18, 2011; Minamisanriku, Miyagi Pref., Japan - Only the steel frame of Minamisanriku's Bousai Taisaku Chousha (Crisis Management Department) is left standing after the magnitude 9.0 Great East Japan Earthquake and Tsunami that devastated the Tohoku region of Japan on March 11, 2011...It is believed that only 10 people, including the city's mayor, out of the 130 workers in the building survived the tsunami.
